DAVID KEOUGH

Freelance Editorial Stylist

David Keough started his hairdressing career at the age of 14, working in some of Sydney's premiere salons. After many years, David decided to shift his focus from salon to editorial and started his journey as a free-lance hairstylist.  His first editorial shoot was for Cleo Magazine and from there he went on to work for other leading titles such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Red.

In 2003 David was signed up as the Style Consultant for John Frieda, allowing him to forecast trends and help develop iconic looks for the brand.  During that time, David directed hair for swimwear label Tigerlilly at Sydney's Fashion Week.

In 2007 David relocated to Los Angeles and since then he has worked with a host of high profile celebrities including, Miranda Kerr, Amy Poehler, Alison Sweeney, Jillian Michaels, Torrey DeVito, Sarah Murdoch, Megan Gale and Alyssa Sutherland.  David has also worked with leading photographers Patrick Demarchelier and Ben Watts.

David brings a quiet confidence to every job he does. Whether doing advertising campaigns for Max Azria, Colgate, Reebok, Wal-Mart, Jenny Craig, TJMaxx or Purina, David knows how to create the look that his diverse clientele have come to love. David adds, "Making women look sexy is my thing...and they just love it!"  Miranda Kerr would agree.  David has been making "sexy" a part of Kerr’s life for the last few years for such events as The Victoria Secret Show, The  Academy Awards and the annual Met Gala.
